Characteristics and Advantages
PharoVax-FMD is a marker vaccine. It is a vaccine that uses recombinant proteins as the immunogen, and cannot lead to any antibodies against non-structural proteins (NSP). Therefore, it is possible the differential diagnosis of animals that have been immunized by the vaccine or that have been infected by field virus.
PharoVax-FMD can be easily optimized for each region or country.Vaccines for newly mutated viral strains can be developed within 2 to 3 months. Also, one product can be expanded to defend against various serotypes or lineages of foot-and-mouth disease viruses. Therefore, optimized vaccines can be provided for various types of foot-and-mouth disease viruses adapted to specific countries or regions.
